Not much good happened this week in the markets, as all of the world’s major markets were negative.

The FTSE closed at 6693.3 to be down 4.3% last week. The Dax was down 4.1% last week with a close of 10259. The CAC closed the week at 4377.5 to be down 3.8%.

The Dow ended the week at 17888 to be down 1.5%. The Nasdaq composite index fell with a close of 5046.4 for the week to be down 2.8%.

The Nikkei 225 closed the week at 16905 to be down 3.1%

29 October 2016 Market Review

It was a mixed week for the world’s major markets. It also marked the last week of trading for the month of October.

The FTSE traded down by closing at 6996.3 to lose 0.34% for the week and 0.68% for the month. The Dax slipped 0.14% last week with a close of 10696, but traded 2% higher for the month of October. The CAC ended the week at 4548.6, to be up 0.28% for the week and 2.2% for the month.

It was a generally an up trading week for the world’s major markets, albeit on the slim side for some.

The FTSE rose to 7020.5 on the close of the week to be up 0.1%. The Dax was up 1.2% for the week by closing at 10711. The CAC rose to 4536.1 to be up 1.5%% on the week.

The Dow closed the week at 18146 to be up slightly 0.04%. The Nasdaq composite index finished the week at 5257.4 to be up 0.11%.

The Nikkei 225 was up a good 2% for the week with a close of 17185.

It was a mixed trading week for the world’s major markets again.

The FTSE fell to 7013.6 on the close of the week to be down 0.44%. The Dax was up 0.85% for the week by closing at 10580. The CAC rose to 4470.9 to be up 0.47% on the week.

The Dow closed the week at 18138 to be down 0.56%. The Nasdaq composite index finished the week at 5252.6 to be down 0.77%.

The Nikkei 225 was flat for the week with a close of 16856.
