Another bad week for the world’s major markets. In Europe, the FTSE closed at 6125.7 to be down 1.9% for the week. The Dax was down 1.7% for the week with the close of 9870. The CAC also closed at 4301.2 to be down 2.9% for the week.
The Down close at 17741 to slide slightly at 0.18% for the week. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed the week at 4736.2 with a loss of 0.82%.
The Nikkei 225 ended the week at 16107 to be down 3.4%.
The Yen has enjoyed another good week of trading among the major currencies. The Dollar gained against the Sterling 1.3% for the week, by closing at $1.4437. The Dollar also gained slightly against the Euro with a close of $1.1419 to be up 0.23% on the week. The Dollar lost ground against the Yen 0.2% for the week, with a close of 106.7.
The Euro lost versus the Yen 0.44% for the week, to end at 121.8. The Euro did rise against the Sterling however by 1.1% to close at 1.2649. The Euro also rose against the CHF 0.86% with a close of 1.1075.
Brent Crude fell 4.2% for the week with a close of $45.37 per barrel. Gold traded slightly lower with a close of $1289.5 per ounce, to lose 0.32% for the week.
